Job Role: SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Harrow, North West London
Daily Rate: £85.20 – £120 per day
Contract: Full-time

We are currently seeking a dedicated, patient and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Harrow. This is a full-time opportunity to support pupils with a range of additional needs, helping them to access learning, build confidence, and achieve their full potential within a supportive educational environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide tailored support to pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) on a 1:1 basis and in small groups.
Support learning activities under the guidance of the class teacher and SENCO.
Encourage pupils’ academic, social and emotional development.
Assist with behaviour management using positive and consistent strategies.
Adapt support to meet individual learning needs and learning styles.
Foster positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents.
Support pupils in developing independence, confidence and resilience.
What We’re Looking For:
Previous experience working with children with SEN, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH or other additional needs (preferred but not essential).
A caring, patient and resilient approach.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Commitment to supporting children’s learning and wellbeing.
An enhanced DBS check on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
