Key Responsibilities
Support pupils with a range of additional learning needs (including ASD, ADHD, MLD, SLD, and complex needs)
Deliver 1:1 and small group interventions under the direction of the class teacher
Assist in implementing Individual Development Plans (IDPs) and behaviour support plans
Promote positive behaviour and support emotional regulation using appropriate strategies
Adapt learning materials to meet individual pupil needs
Support pupils with personal care where required (training provided if applicable)
Encourage independence, communication, and social development
Work collaboratively with teaching staff, SENCOs, and external professionals
Maintain accurate observations and contribute to pupil progress records

Essential:
Experience working with children or young people (school, care, youth work, or similar)
Understanding of SEN and inclusive education practices
Patience, empathy, and a calm approach under pressure
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Commitment to safeguarding and child welfareDesirable:
Experience in a SEN school or specialist setting
Training in Team Teach, Positive Behaviour Support, or similar approaches
Knowledge of ASD, speech and language needs, or complex learning difficulties
Relevant qualification (e.g., CACHE Level 2/3 Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent)
