Inspire the Next Generation of Scientists

Academics are working in partnership with a well-regarded secondary school in the Dunstable area to recruit an enthusiastic and dedicated Science Teacher to join their successful Science Department from September 2026.

This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate educator to teach Science across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the possibility of teaching Key Stage 5 for suitably experienced candidates. The school is committed to delivering high-quality education and fostering a supportive environment where both staff and students can thrive.

The Role

The successful candidate will:

Plan and deliver engaging and inspiring Science lessons.
Teach Science across Biology, Chemistry and Physics at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support achievement.
Create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Contribute to the wider life of the school and department.
Work collaboratively with colleagues to drive excellent outcomes for students.The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for a teacher who:

Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
Has experience teaching Science within a secondary school setting.
Demonstrates strong subject knowledge and a passion for Science.
Has excellent classroom management skills.
Is committed to raising attainment and supporting student success.
Is an effective communicator and team player.Applications are welcomed from experienced teachers as well as Early Career Teachers (ECTs).
