Revive EYFS Recruitment are delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a warm, well-established early years setting in the TN23 area for a Deputy Manager.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Senior Practitioner, Room Leader or existing Deputy Manager looking to take the next step within a supportive and close-knit environment. Working alongside a highly experienced Manager, you will play a key role in the day-to-day leadership of the setting while remaining actively involved in delivering high-quality care and education for children.
The setting has built a strong reputation within the local community and offers a welcoming atmosphere where staff are valued, supported and encouraged to develop professionally.
The Role
This is a varied position that combines leadership responsibilities with hands-on practice. You will support the operational running of the setting, help maintain outstanding standards of care and education, and work closely with colleagues, children and families to create a positive learning environment.
The nursery cares for children aged 2–5 years across two rooms, with up to 25 children attending morning sessions and 20 children attending afternoons. The successful candidate will enjoy balancing room-based responsibilities with office-based duties and will be confident supporting staff and leading by example.
About the Setting
Based in the TN23 area, the setting has 32 children on roll and is supported by a dedicated team of six staff members. The leadership team is stable and experienced, creating a positive culture where collaboration, consistency and staff wellbeing are prioritised.
The setting benefits from a friendly, community-focused atmosphere and provides a nurturing environment where both children and staff can thrive.
What We're Looking For
We're seeking an experienced Early Years professional who has strong knowledge of the EYFS and safeguarding requirements and who enjoys supporting and developing others.
You will be confident building positive relationships with families, supporting colleagues, contributing to the operational side of the nursery and maintaining high standards throughout the provision. Previous leadership experience within an Early Years setting would be highly advantageous.
A relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification or above is preferred.

£25,000 per annum on a term-time-only contract, providing an excellent work-life balance.
Working hours are Monday to Friday, 7:30am to 4:00pm. Holiday pay is included within the monthly salary, and the successful candidate will benefit from ongoing CPD opportunities, fully supported training, on-site parking and genuine opportunities for progression within the setting.
