Head of Finance
Fareham, Hampshire up to £70k
A leading specialist manufacturer is seeking an experienced Head of Finance to oversee and develop its finance function within a growing, design‑led production environment.
This hands‑on, commercially focused role will suit a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with strong experience in a SME with excellent financial leadership skills, and the ability to drive performance, improve controls, and support strategic decision‑making.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage all financial operations, reporting and controls, work as a trusted business partner across the business
Produce monthly/annual management accounts, forecasts and cashflow reporting
Provide financial insight to senior leadership to support growth and profitability
Oversee payroll, VAT returns, statutory accounts and audit processes
Manage AP/AR functions and maintain robust internal controls
About You
Fully qualified accountant with proven experience at Manager / Controller level
Strong background in financial management ideally within manufacturing / production or design-led SMEs
Skilled in forecasting, modelling, KPI reporting and cashflow management
Advanced Excel and ideally Sage experience
Confident communicator with strong leadership capability
