Stride Recruitment are urgently recruiting an Electricical Engineer to be based on-site at Darent Valley Hospital, Dartford covering PPM's and Reactive Maintenance Breakdowns on a Long Term contract basis on behalf of our client.
Core details:
- Electrical Engineer based on-site at Norfolk and Norwich University Hospitals, NR4 7UY
- Immediate interviews / start dates
- Full time – Mon to Fri, 8 till 4.30pm - 37.5 hour basic week + Overtime available (shift covers and shut down work, as well as additional remedial works) paid at time and a half
- Flexible working shift patterns also available, 12 hours shifts mixed between day 7am – 7pm and night 7pm – 7am
- Salary: Standard hourly rate betweem £22 and £22.50 per hour.
Requirments:
As an Electrical Engineer you will be required to carry out trade specific PPM's and reactive maintenance breakdowns. For an Electrical Engineer, this could be anything from changing light fittings to moving sockets, to completing fire alarm / emergency light testing and remedial work to full electrical shutdowns across the hospital alone or working with internal or outsourced colleagues.
Accountabilities:
- To service and maintain building services plant and equipment in accordance with relevant standards, frequencies, and safe working practices. To respond to reactive breakdowns, carry out fault finding and any necessary repairs.
- Carry out scheduled planned preventative maintenance tasks.
- To have a ‘can do’ approach to your work ethos.
- Be able to work within a small maintenance team, consisting of an electrical or mechanical engineer and a semi-skilled engineer (plus a full day team of engineering and support staff)
What you will need:
Electrician:
- Skills, Knowledge and Competencies required.
- Good all round technical ability and a working knowledge of a wide variety of electrical systems required, knowledge of building maintenance preferred, but not essential.
- Must be fully qualified in Electrical with experience of Commercial / Hospital buildings.
- Must be fully qualified electrician.
- JIB Gold.
- City and Guilds.
- 2391 testing inspection.
- 18th Edition.
- Good communication skills, both written and oral.
- The ability to multi-task and be methodical.
- A pro-active approach to problem solving.
