We are recruiting on behalf of our client, to find them a Warehouse/Stores Operative to join their friendly team on a full-time basis.
As part of this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that all stock levels are monitored and counted for, preparing stock for despatch, unloading of incoming goods and making sure all their products are meeting the quality standards outlined by the business.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage the complete lifecycle of stock (intake, storage, and final despatch).
Monitor stock levels and provide regular updates to the office on production programmes and availability.
Conduct regular inventory counts and reconcile stock items.
Unload deliveries from vehicles and inspect for damage or shortages.
Sample products for quality control and ensure accurate order picking.
Palletise, wrap, and label goods ready for despatch.
Accurately complete all stock movement paperwork and seed certifications.
Ensure all goods match relevant paperwork (delivery notes, load tickets).
Maintain records of goods received and completed orders.
Other Responsibilities:
Carry out daily maintenance and safety checks on all plant, vehicles (e.g., forklifts), and machinery as directed.
Report any equipment faults or hazards promptly to the Warehouse Supervisor.
Ensure all handling equipment and storage areas are kept clean, safe, and fit for purpose.
Assist with seed production processes as required to meet operational needs.
Requirements:
Forklift licence (lapsed licenses will be accepted, as company will put you through in-house training)
Current, clean driving licence
Basic computer skills
Competent numerical skills
Willingness to participate in training relevant to the role
