With an insatiable thirst for improving processes, making things more efficient and adding greater value for the customer, you’ll be like a pig in muck in his role. The business is growing at pace and the processes that were fit for purpose at the time need an overhaul and with more NPI projects hitting the factory you’ll have no end of opportunities to support the business and see the real tangible benefits of your work, it’s the kind of role that Manufacturing Engineers, Production Engineers or CI Engineers love because it’ll beef up the achievements section of your CV. Not only that, the growth will give you multiple career route options within the business too.
The business provides a range of production and after market services to a range of markets but predominantly rail. They’ve won awards and are taking on more factory space to support the growth.
In the role of Manufatcuring Engineer you’ll:
* Use your improvement tool box to measure, analyse, improve and control processes
* Create and optimise methods of manufacture in both existing and NPI processes
* Translate complex engineering drawings and information into clear and actionable work methods and training packs
To be considered you must:
* Have a deep understanding of a range of CI tools and techniques within a production process, PPAP, FMEA, RCA, 8D, SPC, time and motion studies
* Have demonstrable experience of improving processes within a mechanical manufacturing and assembly environment, improvements that demonstrate reduction in build times and improvement to On time delivery
* Hold relevant qualifications in mechanical engineering, manufacturing systems engineering, business improvement, six sigma or equivalents to these
