Mobile Caretaker

About the Role:
As a Mobile Caretaker, you will play a vital role in maintaining our housing schemes and communal areas to a high standard. You will be responsible for:
Regular visits to care, supported housing, and general needs sites
Low-level maintenance tasks and repairs
Grounds maintenance including grass cutting, strimming, and leaf blowing
Waste collection and disposal from bin stores and communal areas
PAT testing and emergency equipment checks
Supporting estate improvements and working closely with our maintenance and housing teams
Equipment stock checks
Clean/unblock drains, gullies, sinks, toilets as necessary.
What we are Looking For
Experience in maintenance, caretaking, or grounds work
Confidence in carrying out DIY-level repairs and using garden tools
A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel between sites
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Commitment to excellent customer service and Hightown’s valuesDesirable Skills
Experience with Housing Associations or Local Authorities
Knowledge of health and safety requirements
Experience in the collection and disposal of waste in a work environment
