Location: Witney Pay Rate: £17.19 per hour Shift Pattern: 4 days on / 4 days off (07:00pm - 07:00am, 12-hour shifts)

About the Opportunity Are you looking for a meaningful role where your daily work directly impacts global health? We are currently seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Production Assistant to join a leading global healthcare company based in Witney. In this crucial role, you will be part of a dedicated team manufacturing essential medical diagnostic products in a state-of-the-art, fast-paced production environment.

Key Responsibilities As a vital member of the production floor, you will ensure that the manufacturing process runs safely, smoothly, and to the highest industry standards. Your daily duties will include:

Machine Setup & Operation: Safely set up, calibrate, and operate automated manufacturing machinery, ensuring strict adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Quality Assurance & Control: Continuously monitor production processes to ensure all products comply with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), internal quality systems, and global regulatory requirements.

Meticulous Documentation: Maintain highly accurate production and compliance records. This includes precise data entry into digital batch records and producing written reports with exceptionally clear, legible handwriting.

Process Monitoring: Keep a watchful eye on the production line to identify any potential faults, bottlenecks, or safety hazards, escalating issues promptly to minimize downtime.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work seamlessly with your immediate shift team, quality control, and engineering departments to maintain workflow efficiency and ensure comprehensive shift handovers.

What We Are Looking For To succeed in this position, you should be a highly organized, team-oriented individual with a strong commitment to quality. Requirements include:

Core Fundamentals: A solid understanding of Math and English is essential. You will be required to input accurate machine settings, perform basic calculations, and handle complex data entry.

Communication & Literacy: Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to write incredibly clearly and legibly (this is a strict compliance requirement for medical manufacturing tracking).

Attention to Detail: A meticulous approach to your work, recognizing the importance of precision when creating medical diagnostic devices.

Background Check: You must be able to provide a continuous, verifiable 5-year history (which can include employment, education, or other registered activities) to successfully undergo the required background and security checks.
