We are currently supporting an innovative outreach provision in IG11 seeking an English Teacher to join their team.
This is an excellent opportunity to work within a therapeutic education setting, supporting young people with a range of additional needs, including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
The role will involve:
* Teaching English and Literacy to KS3 and KS4 pupils
* Delivering engaging lessons both face-to-face and virtually
* Supporting pupils working towards their EHCP targets and personal aspirations
* Developing literacy skills through creative and differentiated learning
* Working closely with Therapeutic Education Practitioners and wider support teams
* Promoting positive engagement, emotional regulation and pupil wellbeing
The ideal candidate will:
* Hold QTS or QTLS with a specialism in English
* Have experience teaching English at secondary level
* Have knowledge of, or experience working with, pupils with SEND, ASC and/or SEMH
* Be passionate about inclusive education and supporting young people to achieve their potential
* Be resilient, adaptable and committed to a therapeutic approach to education
