Smile Education is recruiting on behalf of one of our welcoming and supportive mainstream primary schools in the Middlesbrough area for an Early Years Teaching Assistant.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience working in a Day Nursery who is looking to take the next step into a primary school setting, or for an experienced Early Years professional seeking a fresh challenge within a nurturing school environment.

The Role
As an Early Years Teaching Assistant, you will:

Support children within the Early Years setting, helping them to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
Work with children aged up to 5 years old.
Deliver targeted one-to-one support and lead small group activities.
Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and effective learning experiences.
Contribute to a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Work collaboratively with teaching staff and other professionals, while also demonstrating the ability to work independently when required.The Ideal Candidate Will Have
A recognised Early Years qualification (essential – alternative qualifications will not be considered).
A sound knowledge and understanding of the EYFS Framework.
At least 6 months of UK-based experience working within an Early Years setting.
Experience supporting children on a one-to-one basis and in small groups.
The ability to take direction from the class teacher and adapt to the needs of the children.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Confidence working independently and alongside other professionals.Why Apply?
