Job Title: Trainee CAD Technician
Job Type: Permanent
Location: Letchworth Garden City
Working Hours: Full time (37.5 hour working week)
Annual Salary: £25,350 - £27,300 per annum (DOE)

Our rapidly-growing client based in Letchworth Garden City are currently looking for a Trainee CAD Technician to join their team on a Permanent basis, with a view to grow & develop within their business. The successful candidate must be a hard working and driven individual, who is looking to excel within the Engineering industry.

Main duties as a Trainee CAD Technician:

Produce accurate technical drawings and 3D CAD models in line with customer and project requirements.
Provide CAD design support to the engineering team, assisting with the development and modification of technical drawings.
Review and process customer enquiries, specifications, and technical requirements to support project delivery.
Maintain and organise customer CAD files, drawings, and associated technical documentation.
Accurately update and manage project, product, and customer information within the company's ERP system.
Assist with the preparation of quotations, including material checks and basic cost analysis.
Collaborate with internal departments to ensure technical information is communicated effectively and projects progress smoothly.
Support continuous improvement initiatives by ensuring drawing accuracy and maintaining up-to-date engineering records.

Proficient in the use of computer systems, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
Self-motivated, proactive, and enthusiastic, with a willingness to learn and develop new skills.
A genuine interest in engineering, manufacturing, or technical design would be advantageous.
Ability to follow instructions, solve problems, and approach tasks with a logical and methodical mindset.
