Tradewind Recruitment is working with a number of specialist schools and SEN provisions across Ely and the surrounding areas, seeking dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants to join their supportive teams. These exciting opportunities involve supporting pupils with a range of additional needs, including Autism, ADHD, SEMH, Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), and Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD).
The Role
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:
Support pupils within the classroom, on a 1:1 basis, and in small group settings
Help students achieve their academic, social, and personal development goals
Promote confidence, independence, and positive engagement with learning
Assist with emotional regulation and behaviour support strategies
Support pupils with personal care where required
Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and support staff to provide the best outcomes for students
About You
We are looking for candidates who:
Have a genuine passion for supporting children and young people with additional needs
Are patient, caring, and adaptable in their approach
Have strong communication and relationship-building skills
Can work effectively as part of a team
Are committed to creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment
Hold an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or are willing to apply for one
