Maintenance Engineer (Mechanical / Electrical)
4 on 4 off | £53,495 - £55,784 | Birmingham
An excellent opportunity has arisen for experienced Mechanical and Electrical Maintenance Engineers to join a well-established, global manufacturing business at its busy production facility in the Birmingham area.

The Role
Working as part of a skilled engineering team on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern, you will be responsible for ensuring production equipment is maintained to the highest standard, minimising downtime and supporting continuous improvement across the site.
Key Responsibilities:

Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on a wide range of manufacturing equipment.
*
Diagnose and repair mechanical or electrical faults efficiently.
*
Support continuous improvement initiatives to improve equipment reliability and performance.
*
Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with company procedures.
*
Accurately complete maintenance documentation and reports.
*
Work closely with production teams to maximise plant availability.
About You
We are keen to hear from candidates with experience in a manufacturing, heavy industrial or process environment.
Mechanical Maintenance Engineer:
*
Apprenticeship or recognised Mechanical Engineering qualification.
*
Experience maintaining hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical systems.
*
Strong fault-finding and repair skills.
Electrical Maintenance Engineer:
*
Apprenticeship or recognised Electrical Engineering qualification.
*
Experience with fault finding on electrical systems, motors, drives, control panels and PLCs.
*
Ability to read electrical drawings and carry out electrical maintenance safely.
