The Role
As an HLTA, you will work closely with teachers and school leaders to support high-quality teaching and learning across the school. You will take responsibility for leading groups, delivering planned lessons, and providing targeted interventions to help pupils reach their full potential.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Delivering planned lessons and learning activities in the absence of the class teacher
• Supporting teaching and learning across a range of year groups
• Leading small-group interventions to accelerate pupil progress
• Providing targeted support for pupils with additional learning needs
• Promoting positive behaviour and fostering a supportive learning environment
• Monitoring pupil progress and providing feedback to teaching staff
• Working collaboratively with teachers to plan and adapt learning activities
• Supporting pupils' social, emotional, and academic development

You will:
• Hold HLTA status or have significant experience working at a higher level within a primary school setting
• Have strong classroom management skills
• Be confident delivering lessons and leading learning independently
• Be able to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents
• Have a proactive, flexible, and solution-focused approach
• Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children

This role would be ideal for:
• Qualified HLTAs
• Cover Supervisors with primary school experience
