Teaching Assistant (Class-Based) - Primary / SEN Schools

Aspire People are currently recruiting for a dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistant to work across primary and SEN school settings in Rochdale.

This is a class-based role supporting pupils across a range of year groups, with a strong focus on supporting children with Special Educational Needs.

Teaching Assistant - The Role:
* Supporting teaching and learning across EYFS, KS1 and KS2
* Providing targeted support to pupils with SEN (including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, speech and language needs)
* Working closely with class teachers and SENCOs to deliver individual support plans
* Leading small group interventions and offering 1:1 support where required
* Promoting positive behaviour, engagement, and inclusion within the classroom

Teaching Assistant - Requirements:
* A recognised Teaching Assistant qualification (Level 2 or Level 3 preferred)
* Previous experience working in a school-based TA role
* Strong SEN experience is essential
* Confidence working across different primary age groups
* A patient, adaptable and proactive approach to supporting learning

Teaching Assistant - Desirable:
* Experience across multiple key stages (EYFS-KS2)
* Knowledge of behaviour management strategies
* Team Teach or similar behaviour training (advantageous but not essential)
