We are currently seeking two caring, patient and dedicated Teaching Assistants to join a warm and welcoming primary school in Saltash.
This rewarding role involves providing 1:1 support for children with additional needs, including Autism, ADHD and trauma-related needs. The successful candidates will play an important role in helping pupils feel safe, supported and confident within the classroom environment.
The school is known for its nurturing ethos, supportive staff team and commitment to helping every child thrive.
Responsibilities:
• Provide consistent 1:1 support for pupils with additional needs
• Build positive and trusting relationships with children
• Support pupils both inside and outside the classroom
• Help children regulate emotions and engage with learning
• Work closely with teachers, SENCOs and parents/carers
• Encourage independence, confidence and social development
The Ideal Candidate Will:
• Have experience working with children or young people
• Be calm, compassionate and resilient
• Have an understanding of Autism, ADHD and trauma-informed practice
• Be able to build strong relationships and adapt to individual needs
• Be passionate about supporting children to achieve their potential
