Primary Teacher - SEN Focus

Pay: £190-£220 per day (DOE)
Hours: Mon-Fri, 8:30 - 16:00
Contract: Full-time / Term Time only
Location: Hackney, East London

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated, enthusiastic, and compassionate Primary Teacher - Special Educational Needs Focus. The successful candidate will deliver engaging, inclusive lessons to primary-aged pupils (ages 4-18), supporting their academic, social, and emotional development within a safe and nurturing environment.

This role requires strong experience within an SEN (Special Educational Needs) setting and the ability to adapt teaching approaches to meet a diverse range of learning needs. You will play a key role in empowering pupils with additional needs to achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities

Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality, differentiated lessons
Adapt teaching strategies to support a wide range of SEN needs
Create a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
Monitor and assess pupil progress, maintaining accurate records
Collaborate with teaching assistants, SENCOs, and external professionals
Support pupils' emotional wellbeing and behavioural development
Build strong relationships with parents and carers
Ensure safeguarding and health & safety policies are consistently followed

Requirements

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - essential
Proven experience working within an SEN school setting (essential)
Strong understanding of the primary curriculum
Ability to differentiate effectively for diverse learners
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Patient, adaptable, and empathetic approach
Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain)Interested?
