Senior Quality & Process Control Engineer

Location: Wolverhampton

Chase Taylor Recruitment are working on behalf of a leading manufacturer within the window and door hardware industry to recruit an experienced Senior Quality & Process Control Engineer.

This is an excellent opportunity for a quality-focused engineer to join a manufacturing environment where you will play a key role in improving processes, maintaining product standards, and driving continuous improvement across operations.

Working closely with production, engineering teams, suppliers, and internal stakeholders, you will identify quality challenges, implement effective solutions, and support improvements that enhance product performance and manufacturing efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

*

Lead quality improvement activities across manufacturing processes.

*

Investigate quality issues and implement corrective and preventative actions.

*

Apply structured problem-solving techniques including 8D, 5 Why, FMEA, and root cause analysis.

*

Develop and maintain quality documentation, control plans, and process standards.

*

Support audits, inspections, and continuous improvement projects.

*

Analyse quality data to reduce defects, waste, and process variation.

*

Support new product introductions and manufacturing process improvements.

*

Work with suppliers to resolve quality concerns and improve overall performance.

Experience & Skills

*

Previous experience in Quality Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or Process Control within a manufacturing environment.

*

Strong understanding of quality systems, process control, and continuous improvement methodologies.

*

Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.

*

Experience using quality tools such as 8D, CAPA, SPC, MSA, and FMEA.

*

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a practical, hands-on approach.

*

Experience within fenestration, window and door hardware, engineered components, or similar industries would be advantageous.
