Maths, Engineering & IT Teaching Assistant – SEND College

Are you passionate about supporting young people with additional needs and helping them achieve their full potential?

We are currently recruiting for a dedicated Maths, Engineering & IT Teaching Assistant to support students with SEND within a welcoming mainstream college setting. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys helping students develop their academic skills while providing the additional support they need to succeed.

The successful candidate will work closely with students, supporting their learning across Maths, Engineering, and IT subjects, while also helping them develop confidence, independence, and life skills.

The Role:

* Full-time Teaching Assistant position

* Pay: £14.25 per hour

* Interviews taking place throughout July and August

Key Responsibilities:

* Provide 1:1 and small group support to SEND students

* Assist students with Maths, Engineering, and IT-based learning activities

* Support students to access lessons and overcome barriers to learning

* Encourage independence, confidence, and personal development

* Work closely with teaching staff and support teams

* Provide personal care support where required

* Assist with manual handling when needed

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

* Experience supporting students or young people with SEND

* Confidence supporting academic subjects such as Maths, Engineering, or IT

* Strong communication and interpersonal skills

* A patient, caring, and encouraging approach

* A willingness to support students with personal care and manual handling

* A genuine passion for helping young people succeed
