Tradewind Recruitment is delighted to be working with a welcoming and inclusive mainstream primary school in the London Borough of Lewisham, seeking an experienced Teaching Assistant to join their team from September 2026.

This is a full-time position, working Monday to Friday from 8:30am to 4:00pm, supporting pupils across the primary age range. The successful candidate will play a key role in helping children achieve their full potential both academically and socially within a positive learning environment.

The Role:

Full-time Teaching Assistant position

Working hours: 8:30am - 4:00pm, Monday to Friday
Supporting teaching and learning across the primary curriculum
Providing targeted support to individuals and small groups
Assisting with classroom management and pupil engagement
Working closely with class teachers and the wider school teamThe School:

Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant within a primary school setting
A strong understanding of the primary curriculum
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

£100 per day PAYE
Pay increase after 12 weeks of successful placement
Full-time role running until July 2027 (end of the academic year)
