Mechanical Engineer
Location: City of London
Salary: Up to £50,000 per annum + Overtime
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm
Call-Out Rota: 1 in 3
The Role:
We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Mechanical Engineer to join our dedicated on-site engineering team at a prestigious corporate office building in the City of London.
Working as part of a small, professional engineering team, you will be responsible for the planned and reactive maintenance of mechanical building services, ensuring all systems operate safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards of performance.
This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer looking for a stable, client-facing role within a high-end commercial environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on mechanical plant and equipment.
* Respond to reactive maintenance tasks and fault-finding activities.
* Maintain HVAC systems, pumps, motors, AHUs, FCUs, and associated mechanical equipment.
* Support the delivery of statutory compliance and building safety requirements.
* Liaise professionally with the client and building occupants.
* Complete all maintenance documentation and reports accurately.
* Participate in the on-call rota (1 in 3).
Candidate Requirements:
* Recognised mechanical engineering qualification (City & Guilds, NVQ, Apprenticeship or equivalent).
* Experience working within commercial building maintenance environments.
* Strong knowledge of mechanical building services.
* Good fault-finding and problem-solving abilities.
* Excellent communication and customer service skills.
* Ability to work effectively within a small on-site team.
