Project Manager

Construction project managers oversee building projects from initial planning to completion. They coordinate schedules, manage budgets, and ensure work complies with safety and building codes. They are the primary liaison between clients, architects, subcontractors, and on-site construction teams to guarantee successful delivery.

Core Responsibilities

* Develop comprehensive project plans, establish timelines, and monitor benchmarks to ensure deadlines are met

* Negotiate vendor contracts, oversee procurement, and monitor costs to prevent budget overruns

* Maintain regular contact with clients, surveyors, architects, and engineers to provide progress reports

* Enforce strict health and safety protocols and conduct routine site inspections.

* Recruit, supervise, and coordinate the daily activities of skilled labourers and subcontractors

* Resolve unexpected site delays, design discrepancies, or material shortages

Key Qualifications & Skills

* A degree or higher national diploma in construction management, civil engineering, surveying, or structural engineering

* Proficiency in reading blueprints, understanding building regulations, and using project management software

* Strong mathematical ability for estimating costs and tracking expenses.

* Excellent leadership, negotiation, and organisational skills

* Experience in Commercial, Educational, Retail, Listed Buildings and High-End Residential construction
