Private Sector Housing Surveyor
Location: Kettering
Salary: 25.00 per hour PAYE
Contract: Temp 12 months
We are looking for a Private Sector Housing Surveyor to join our clients Disabled Facilities Grants (DFG) Team. You will play a key role in delivering home adaptations for disabled and vulnerable residents, helping them remain safe and independent in their own homes. This is a hybrid role but could be remote depending on assessment numbers.
### Key Responsibilities
Carry out home visits, surveys, and assessments in partnership with Occupational Therapists.
Prepare specifications, schedules of work, drawings, and design proposals for adaptations.
Manage adaptation projects from initial survey through to completion.
Obtain and evaluate contractor quotations and tenders.
Coordinate planning permissions, building regulations approvals, and party wall matters.
Monitor works on site, ensuring quality, compliance, and value for money.
Conduct final inspections and manage defect rectification.
Maintain accurate records and provide performance data and reports as required.
### About You
Essential
Qualification in Building Studies, Construction, Building Surveying, or a related discipline.
Knowledge of building construction, building regulations, and health & safety requirements.
Experience or understanding of surveying, contract administration, project management, or housing-related construction work.
Ability to work effectively with clients, contractors, Occupational Therapists, and other stakeholders.
Experience using AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and relevant software packages.
Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
Degree qualification and/or professional membership (RICS, CIOB, RIBA, ARB)
