SEN Teaching Assistant - Day-to-Day/Short-Term/Long-Term - Location: Stafford/Stone Start Date: September 2026

We are seeking to appoint a dedicated, caring and passionate SEN Teaching Assistant to support a variety of our partner schools across the Stone and Stafford regions. You will have the opportunity to work hours which suit your schedule whether this be requiring more part-time hours or something a little more full-time. Your duties will include; supporting a pupil with day-to-day learning, tailoring learning & activities to be taught in a way in which the pupil can access their learning in a way which works for them.

Upon placement you will receive support from all of the staff within each school you visit, particularly the SENCO who you will be liaising with on a regular basis. Your focus will be working with a variety of children with varying additional needs, occasional support to the rest of the class may be necessary. As a 1:1 Teaching Assistant you must have a flexible approach to work as your role will vary day-to-day to accommodate to the needs of the child. You must have a kind, caring and nurturing personality in which you are passionate in supporting a pupil with additional needs. It is vital that at all time you hold a high standard of professional conduct.

The role includes:

Working for a reputable education agency - Academics Ltd.
Confidence in supporting children with varying additional needs.
A positive and 'can-do' approach to all aspects of school life and education.
To deliver and adapt activities to support the child as necessary with day-to-day learning.
The ability to use 'praise culture' to assist and encourage pupils.
Commute to Stafford/Stone daily - working in a variety of schools.
Working collaboratively with staff and parents is essential.
Flexibility to adapt quickly to new settings on a temporary basis, this is crucial.We are looking for someone who:

Experience supporting children within a primary school environment, in particularly on a 1:1 basis.
Excellent communication and organisational skills.
Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willing to obtain one).
Provide 2 teaching references.
Available to start ASAP.
Able to commute to the outskirts of Stafford.
Willing and able to work under the guidance of the class teacher.
Fully registered to work with Academics.Pay £93 - £100 a day, holiday pay is included in the day rate.
