About the Role

As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and support staff to help pupils with a range of additional learning needs access education in a safe, structured, and positive setting. You will play a key role in supporting learning, behaviour, communication, and personal development.

Key Responsibilities

Support pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
Assist with delivering tailored learning activities
Help implement individual education plans (IEPs)
Promote positive behaviour and emotional regulation
Support pupils with communication and social development
Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and families
Contribute to creating a safe, inclusive classroom environment

About You

We are looking for individuals who are:

Passionate about supporting children and young people with additional needs
Patient, caring, and resilient
Able to build positive and trusting relationships
Flexible and willing to learn new approaches
Team players with strong communication skills

Desirable (not essential)

Experience working in SEN settings, care, youth work, or education
Knowledge of ASD, ADHD, SEMH, or complex learning needs
Relevant TA qualifications or willingness to work towards them
First aid or safeguarding training
