InstaStaff are currently recruiting for Ticket Conductors to work on the tram system around the Black Country and Birmingham. This role will be a 4-month contract, and it will be to start immediately.
There will be a working pattern of 3 different shifts, and you will be put on a set shift, the shifts are - Early: 4am - 12pm, Mid: 10am - 8pm and Late: 3pm - 2am.
You will be working out the Wednesbury depo and will cover various locations around the area.
The duties of the Ticket Conductors include:
Delivering excellent customer service
Managing ticket sales onboard trams
Checking tickets and passes
Selling tickets where necessary
Ensuring a positive customer experience for all passengers
Shifts are structured in 4-hour blocks with a 45-minute break in between
Full training will be provided over one week, covering track safety, accident management, relevant systems, and on-the-job shadowing with experienced Metro colleagues
Successful candidates will have previous experience in a customer-facing role, demonstrate strong customer service skills, possess good numeracy for cash handling responsibilities, and always maintain a professional and positive approach.
Full training provided in first week - mix of onsite shadowing and classroom
The ideal Ticket Conductors will have:
Experience within a face-to-face customer service role
The ability to speak to people face to face
Clean, basic DBS
