Our client Shropshire council is looking for a Qualified social worker to join their Kinship fostering team.

Key Responsibilities

Complete Form K assessments to assess connected persons as foster carers.
Undertake viability assessments to inform early permanence planning.
Carry out SGO assessments, including support plans and court reports.
Provide regular supervision and support to approved kinship foster carers.
Support carers to manage placement challenges, contact arrangements, and transitions to permanence.
Work closely with children's social workers and multi-agency partners to ensure coordinated care planning.
Ensure all work is child-centred, evidence-based, and within statutory timescales.About You

Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England.
Experience in:
Kinship/connected persons fostering (Form K)
SGO assessments and permanence planning
Viability assessments
Supporting and supervising foster carers
Strong analytical and report-writing skills for court and panel.
Confident in managing risk, safeguarding, and complex family dynamics.
