Astute's Power Team is partnering with a well-established large-scale EV installer with a commitment to professional development and sustainability, to recruit a senior quantity surveyor for their head office in North Lanarkshire.
The Senior Quantity Surveyor role comes with a salary of £50,000 - £60,000 + a car allowance up to £450 per month, an annual bonus, 35 days holiday including shutdown days & a flexible working arrangement.

Responsibilities and duties of the Senior Quantity Surveyor role
Reporting to the Operations Director you will:
Lead and mentor junior quantity surveyors while collaborating with project teams and stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
Prepare and manage cost estimates, budgets, cost plans, feasibility studies, and financial forecasts throughout the project lifecycle.
Administer contracts, including drafting, reviewing, negotiating terms, managing variations, and resolving contractual disputes and claims.
Oversee procurement and tendering processes, including preparing tender documentation, bills of quantities, and evaluating contractor and subcontractor submissions.
Monitor project costs, progress, and compliance through site visits, cost reporting, risk assessment, and implementation of cost-saving strategies to ensure projects remain on budget and meet requirements.
Professional qualifications
We are looking for someone with the following:
Degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or equivalent (RICS)
Proven years of experience in quantity surveying, with a focus on large-scale construction projects, with a main contractor.
Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations.
Valid UK Driving Licence
