Salary: £55,000–£75,000 (DOE)

Established in 2003, we operate nationwide, supporting clients across Defence, Education, Healthcare and Critical National Infrastructure, delivering safe, compliant solutions across a wide range of essential property services.

We are recruiting for an Estimator to join our South West team, supporting new build, refurbishment and building fabric projects across a range of public sector and commercial environments.

The Role

As an Estimator, you will be responsible for managing new build, refurbishment and building fabric tenders valued between £50k and £10m, from initial enquiry through to final submission and handover to the delivery team.

Our work is predominantly refurbishment and internal building fabric projects across multiple sectors, requiring someone who is organised, commercially aware and confident managing several live tenders simultaneously.

You will play a key role in ensuring tenders are accurately priced, commercially competitive and delivered to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities

* Review tender documentation and assess project scope.

* Ensure all information is available to prepare accurate estimates.

* Attend site surveys and pre-tender meetings.

* Carry out detailed take-offs for refurbishment and building fabric works.

* Produce Bills of Quantities (BoQs).

* Obtain competitive quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.

* Evaluate subcontractor returns for compliance and value.

* Identify commercial risks and opportunities within tenders.

* Prepare pricing clarifications and exclusions.

* Produce detailed cost plans for management approval.

* Manage multiple live tenders simultaneously.

* Liaise with clients, contractors, suppliers and design teams throughout the tender process.

* Support the successful handover of secured projects to the operational delivery team.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

* Previous experience as an Estimator within new build, refurbishment or building fabric works.

* Strong ability to interpret drawings, specifications and schedules.

* Excellent knowledge of measurement and take-off processes.

* Experience managing multiple concurrent tenders.

* Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail.

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

* Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Excel.

* Knowledge of Microsoft Project (desirable).
