Example Recruitment are looking for a multi trade plumber to work on a permanent basis for a well established property maintenance company working in the social housing sector.
You will bring strong plumbing knowledge while also contributing to a range of multi-skilled repair tasks. The role focuses on providing a high-quality, resident-focused service, completing repairs efficiently, and aiming for first-time resolution wherever possible.
Key Responsibilities
* Complete a wide range of plumbing repairs, including identifying and fixing leaks, hot and cold water systems, immersion heaters, and bathroom and kitchen installations.
* Carry out additional multi-trade maintenance works, including:
* Wall and floor tiling
* First and second fix carpentry
* Plaster patch repairs and making good
* Professional painting and decorating finishes
* Update and complete job records accurately using the Axis mobile app while working on site.
* Work closely with supervisors, scheduling teams, and support staff to ensure repairs are delivered effectively.
* Carry out site risk assessments and follow all health and safety requirements during every task.
* Provide guidance and support to apprentices while maintaining excellent customer service standards.
* Work within occupied homes, delivering respectful and professional service to residents.
* Participate in emergency response duties and out-of-hours callout arrangements when required.
Requirements
*
NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds in Plumbing (or equivalent)
Valid Unvented Hot Water Systems Certificate
Experience across multiple trades (tiling, carpentry, plastering, decorating.
Ability to safely isolate and test electrical components
Full UK driving licence and well-maintained tool kit
Knowledge of social housing repairs & maintenance
Strong Health & Safety awareness and attention to detail
