Are you an experienced CNC professional looking to take the next step into a leadership position?

We are recruiting for a CNC Team Leader to join a growing manufacturing business. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong CNC machining experience who enjoys supporting and developing a small team while remaining hands-on within production.

Working closely with the Shift Supervisor, you will play a key role in ensuring production targets, quality standards and health & safety requirements are consistently achieved. You'll also help drive continuous improvement initiatives and support the day-to-day running of the CNC work centre.

Location: Bexhill on Sea
Salary: £16.00 per hour
Job Type: 3 months with a possibility of going permanent
Hours: Monday to Friday – Rotating Shift Pattern

Key Responsibilities

Lead and support a small CNC production team to achieve quality and productivity targets
Operate, programme and maintain CNC machinery
Ensure production processes are followed correctly and efficiently
Carry out regular quality checks to ensure products meet specification
Support continuous improvement initiatives within the CNC department
Troubleshoot process and production issues as they arise
Maintain accurate documentation and production records
Monitor tooling and consumable stock levels and maintain accurate records
Communicate effectively with production teams and shift leadership
Promote a safe, organised, and efficient working environment
Skills, Experience & Training Requirements

Previous experience operating CNC machinery is essential
Experience with CNC routers or profiling machinery would be highly advantageous
Previous team leadership or supervisory experience within manufacturing would be beneficial
Experience working with MRP, ERP or warehouse management systems
Strong understanding of quality control processes
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
Excellent organisational and communication skills
Ability to work independently and lead by example
Experience working with composite materials would be advantageous
Counterbalance forklift licence would be beneficial but is not essential
