Join Our Team - Skilled Assembly Operative Wanted (Chelmsford)
Are you hands-on, detail-focused, and ready to build a career in precision assembly? We're looking for a dedicated Assembly Operative to join our fast-paced, high-quality production team in Chelmsford.
What You'll Be Doing
Working from production documents, procedures, and assembly drawings
Building a wide variety of assemblies - no two days are the same
Using mechanical tools, soldering equipment, and electrical test gear
Handling fine, delicate work including precise wire crimping
Operating automated equipment and ensuring calibration standards are met
What We're Looking For
Strong attention to detail and pride in delivering quality work
Comfortable handling different types of assembly tasks
Reliable, punctual, and flexible for overtime when needed
A team player who works well alongside others
Good eyesight (not colour blind) for precision tasks
Confident using lifting equipment and pallet trucks
Willing to wear PPE and follow safety procedures
Comfortable working seated or standing as required
Key Skills That Will Make You Shine
Experience with mechanical assembly tools
Skilled in fine wire crimping and lead-free soldering
Confident using electrical test equipment
IT experience is highly advantageous
Familiar with automated machinery and equipment calibration
Working Hours
Monday to Thursday: 6:30am - 3:30pm
