The business has built a strong reputation for quality and innovation within its specialist market and continues to expand, creating the need for additional support within the finance team.
Your new role
In your new role as Finance Assistant, you will play a key part in supporting the day-to-day running of the finance function. This is a hands-on position within a busy and fast-paced environment, offering exposure to a broad range of finance activities.
Key responsibilities will include:
Processing accounts payable and receivable transactions
Supporting bank reconciliations and cash allocation
Assisting with month-end processes
Managing supplier invoices and resolving queries
Supporting credit control activities, including chasing outstanding payments
Maintaining accurate financial records
Assisting the wider finance team with ad hoc dutiesThis is a full-time, office-based role (Monday-Friday, 9:00-17:00) and offers the opportunity to transition into a permanent position.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will ideally:
Be AAT qualified or part-qualified
Have prior experience within a Finance Assistant or Accounts Assistant role
Have a good understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and reconciliations
Be comfortable working within a high-volume, transactional environment
Have strong attention to detail and organisational skills
Be confident using finance systems and Excel
Be able to work on-site in Taunton 5 days per weekWhat you'll get in returnIn return, you will receive:
A salary of £28,000 - £30,000 per annum
