Are you a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer looking for a Monday to Friday shift pattern, a strong engineering team and the opportunity to work on advanced automation and manufacturing technology?
We are working with a global manufacturing business operating within the automotive sector, supplying products into some of the world's leading vehicle manufacturers. The site is a highly automated production facility where engineering plays a critical role in maintaining reliability, quality and operational performance.
Due to continued investment and ongoing development across the site, the business is looking to recruit a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer with a strong electrical bias and solid mechanical skills to join its established engineering team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an apprentice-trained engineer who enjoys fault finding, continuous improvement and working on a wide variety of automated manufacturing equipment. The site offers exposure to PLCs, robotics, automated production systems and engineering projects, providing genuine opportunities to develop your technical capability.
Responsibilities of a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer:
Carry out planned preventative and reactive maintenance across automated manufacturing equipment
Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults to minimise downtime
Support continuous improvement projects to improve reliability and plant performance
Work with PLC-controlled machinery, robotics and automated production systems
Maintain critical spares and support engineering project activities
Assist with plant modifications and equipment upgrades
Ensure all engineering activities are completed safely and in line with site procedures
Maintain accurate maintenance records and engineering documentation
Skills & Qualifications of a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer:
NVQ Level 3 Electrical Engineering or equivalent apprenticeship
Electrically biased with strong mechanical fault-finding ability
Experience within manufacturing, automotive or industrial environments
Knowledge of PLC systems and automated machinery
Experience working with hydraulics, pneumatics and mechanical drive systems
Robotics experience advantageous
Fabrication or welding experience beneficial
Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
Ability to work effectively within a team environment

Salary: £52,000 per annum
Monday to Friday rotating shift pattern:
06:00 – 14:00
14:00 – 22:00
22:00 – 06:00
25 days holiday plus bank holidays
Additional service-related holiday entitlement
Up to 8% employer pension contribution
Annual site bonus scheme
Free onsite parking
Strong engineering team with excellent technical support
Ongoing training and development opportunities
