Site Engineer – Civil Engineering
£35,000 – £37,000 + £7,000 Car Allowance (DOE)
We’re working with a growing civil engineering contractor looking to bring in a Site Engineer to support the delivery of projects from pre-construction through to completion.
This is a varied role where you’ll be involved across both office and site activities, working closely with the wider project team to ensure works are delivered safely, on time and in line with contractual requirements.
The Role
Supporting project delivery from design and planning through to construction and handover
Preparing and managing project documentation, including RAMS
Liaising with clients, site teams and subcontractors to ensure compliance with contract terms
Monitoring progress against programme and reporting on performance
Ensuring all works are carried out in line with health & safety and environmental standards
Contributing to cost control and helping to maximise project value
Maintaining quality standards across all stages of the projectKey Responsibilities
Oversee health & safety compliance on site, including reporting incidents and near misses
Ensure environmental standards are met and identify areas for improvement
Implement and maintain quality procedures
Assist with programme management and meeting project deadlines
Support site teams through coordination, communication and task delegationAbout You
Experience working on civil engineering projects
Strong communication and organisational skills
Proactive approach with the ability to manage multiple tasks
Good attention to detail and problem-solving ability
Confident using IT systems and project softwareDesirable
HNC/HND or Degree in Civil Engineering (or similar)
Full UK driving licenceAdditional Information
Office-based with regular site visits
Occasional travel and flexibility around working hours may be required
