We are currently recruiting for an experienced Waste Supervisor to join a busy operational team based in Yeovil.
This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive and organised individual with experience supervising waste, recycling, environmental services, logistics or operational teams.
Key Responsibilities
• Supervise the day-to-day delivery of waste management and recycling operations.
• Lead and support operational staff, ensuring work is completed safely and efficiently.
• Monitor service performance and maintain high standards of health, safety and environmental compliance.
• Conduct team briefings, toolbox talks and support staff development.
• Liaise with site management, contractors and operational teams to ensure smooth service delivery.
• Maintain accurate records, reports and operational documentation.
• Investigate and resolve operational issues as they arise.
• Promote a positive safety culture and ensure company procedures are followed at all times.
Requirements
• Previous supervisory experience within waste management, environmental services, logistics, facilities management or a similar operational environment.
• Strong leadership and people management skills.
• Good understanding of health and safety procedures.
• Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Competent IT and reporting skills.
Contract Details
• £15.50 per hour
• 40 hours per week
• Monday to Friday
• Temporary contract until September 2026
