Graduate Quantity Surveyor – Parliamentary Refurbishment – London
We are currently supporting a leading UK construction and engineering services provider on the appointment of a Graduate Quantity Surveyor to join their team delivering high-profile refurbishment works across parliamentary and heritage estates.
This role offers a unique opportunity to work within a highly regulated, security-sensitive environment on technically complex projects, providing excellent exposure to live refurbishment works, stakeholder management, and structured career development.
Responsibilities
* Cost Management & Reporting
Assist in the preparation of detailed cost plans, budgets, and valuations, supporting accurate cost tracking, forecasting, and financial reporting across refurbishment and maintenance packages.
* Procurement & Subcontractor Support
Support the end-to-end procurement process, including preparation of tender documentation, issuing enquiries, analysing subcontractor returns, and assisting in the commercial evaluation and appointment process.
* Commercial Administration
Manage core commercial activities including variations, interim valuations, payment applications, and maintaining accurate cost records in line with project and contractual requirements.
* Project Support & Coordination
Work closely with site teams, project managers, and senior commercial staff to support delivery across multiple workstreams, ensuring effective coordination within a live, operational, and high-security environment.
* Learning & Development
Gain hands-on experience across all aspects of quantity surveying, developing knowledge of contracts, cost control, and commercial management while working towards professional accreditation and long-term career progression.
Requirements
Must have Quantity Surveying degree level qualifications or similar
Must have UK Passport
Must be based within a commutable distance of London
1-2 years’ experience in a Quantity Surveying role is preferred but not essential
