The School and Role

This larger than average GOOD, primary school, based in Chesterfield are looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant to work in a year 3 class, Key Stage 2 on a full time basis. You will be working with a wide range of ability levels. You will have the benefit of a supportive headteacher and governing body whilst working in this happy positive school helping raising achievement through better teaching. Be an outstanding classroom practitioner

To have experience working with children with SEN and additional needs

To have good knowledge of safeguarding

To be able to create good relationships with pupils, parents and carers and staff members

The school is a fast-paced environment with exceptionally supportive and outward facing leadership team. You will need strong behaviour management skills to work successfully in this school and have a firm but fair approach to teaching.

Requirements

The desired Teaching Assistant will have;

Have an excellent understanding of how children learn

Motivate and inspire children

Have a positive working attitude and committed to continually improve teaching practice

Be organised, punctual and adaptable

Be committed to inclusion and equity
