SCADA & Systems Integration Commissioning Engineer

Location: West Sussex (Hybrid Site-Based Role)
Contract: Freelance / Outside IR35 (TBC)
Duration: Up to 2 Years
Start Date: Immediate

We are seeking an experienced SCADA & Systems Integration Commissioning Engineer to support the delivery of major infrastructure and process engineering projects within the UK water sector.

This is a long-term contract opportunity working on the commissioning, integration and upgrade of critical operational technology systems, including PLC replacement programmes, SCADA upgrades, telemetry systems and communications networks.

Key Responsibilities

*

Lead and support SCADA, telemetry and systems integration commissioning activities.

*

Deliver PLC migration and replacement projects from commissioning through to handover.

*

Develop commissioning plans, procedures and testing documentation.

*

Coordinate FAT, SAT, dry testing and wet commissioning activities.

*

Ensure successful integration of new systems with existing operational assets.

*

Work closely with project delivery, MEICA and commissioning teams to achieve programme milestones.

*

Support defect resolution, snagging activities and project takeover requirements.

*

Maintain commissioning records, documentation and compliance requirements.

*

Promote and maintain high standards of health, safety and quality throughout project delivery.

Essential Experience

*

Minimum 5 years' experience delivering commissioning activities within the UK water industry.

*

Strong background in SCADA, telemetry and systems integration.

*

Proven experience delivering PLC replacement and migration projects.

*

Experience of FAT, SAT, dry testing and wet commissioning.

*

Ability to interface with operational and project stakeholders.

*

Strong understanding of water industry processes and standards.

*

Excellent documentation and reporting skills.

Technical Requirements

Experience with some or all of the following:

*

Allen Bradley CompactLogix

*

Allen Bradley ControlLogix

Qualifications

*

CSCS or ECS Card

*

EUSR Water Hygiene (preferred)

*

SSSTS minimum

*

SMSTS advantageous
