Site Manager – Science Laboratory Refurbishment Project
Location: Woking, Surrey
Start Date: 9th July 2026
Duration: 9 Weeks
Project Value: £700,000
We are seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee the successful delivery of a £700k refurbishment project involving two science laboratories in Woking.
This is a fast-paced programme with a duration of 9 weeks, requiring a proactive and hands-on Site Manager to take full responsibility as the number one on site from project commencement through to completion.
Key Responsibilities
* Overall management and coordination of all site activities.
* Programme management to ensure the project is delivered safely, on time, and to the required quality standards.
* Management of subcontractors, with particular focus on the M&E package, which represents the largest element of the works.
* Daily liaison with the client, consultants, and project stakeholders.
* Conducting site meetings, progress reporting, and maintaining project documentation.
* Ensuring strict compliance with health and safety regulations and company procedures.
* Managing quality control, snagging, and handover processes.
Requirements
* Proven experience delivering refurbishment projects as the lead Site Manager.
* Previous experience working on laboratory, education, healthcare, or technically complex refurbishment projects is advantageous.
* Strong understanding of M&E coordination and services integration.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
* SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid qualifications are essential.
* Ability to manage a tight programme and drive subcontractor performance.
