TSL Projects is a leading engineering and construction contractor delivering complex projects across Advanced Manufacturing, Data Centres, Logistics, Food Production and Pharmaceutical sectors throughout the UK and Europe.

They are seeking an experienced Sustainability Lead to provide technical sustainability leadership on a major advanced manufacturing project in Hayes and are High Wycombe

The successful candidate will act as the project's sustainability subject matter expert, supporting operational teams to achieve environmental compliance, sustainability objectives and project certification requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead sustainability activities across the project lifecycle.
• Act as the primary sustainability advisor to project and operational teams.
• Manage BREEAM, LEED and sustainability certification processes.
• Develop and maintain certification compliance trackers and evidence registers.
• Undertake site inspections and environmental audits.
• Provide technical guidance on low carbon construction and sustainable building practices.
• Support project teams in meeting planning conditions and sustainability commitments.
• Identify sustainability risks and implement mitigation strategies.
• Engage with clients, consultants and supply chain partners regarding sustainability requirements.
• Deliver sustainability training and awareness initiatives.
• Support TSL's Build Beyond sustainability strategy and ESG objectives.
• Contribute to environmental management system development and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Degree qualified in Sustainability, Environmental Management, ESG or related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years' experience supporting sustainability within construction or the built environment.
• Strong knowledge of BREEAM, LEED and sustainable construction practices.
• Experience leading certification processes and managing compliance requirements.
• Understanding of environmental legislation and construction environmental management.
• Experience preparing environmental management plans and sustainability reports.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• Full UK driving licence.

Desirable

• BREEAM AP, LEED AP or equivalent qualification.
• ISO 14001 Internal Auditor qualification.
• Experience with OneClick LCA or similar carbon assessment tools.
• IEMA or equivalent professional membership.
