Deputy Nursery Manager – Full Time
Hours: 40 hours per week, full time
We are looking for an enthusiastic, experienced and caring Deputy Nursery Manager to support the Nursery Manager in the day-to-day running of our nursery. This is an exciting opportunity for a confident early years professional who is passionate about delivering high-quality childcare, supporting staff and creating a safe, welcoming and inclusive environment for every child.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the Nursery Manager with the effective day-to-day running of the nursery.
* Deputise for the Nursery Manager when required.
* Help lead, motivate and support the nursery team to provide excellent care and education.
* Ensure children’s learning and development is supported in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage.
* Promote and maintain high standards of safeguarding, health and safety, and welfare.
* Build positive relationships with children, parents, carers and external professionals.
* Support staff supervision, training, mentoring and performance development.
* Assist with rotas, ratios, room organisation and the smooth running of daily routines.
* Help ensure nursery policies, procedures and records are maintained to a high standard.
The Ideal Candidate
* Has a recognised Level 3 childcare qualification or above.
* Has experience working in an early years setting, preferably in a senior, room leader or deputy role.
* Has a good understanding of safeguarding, child development and the EYFS.
* Is confident supporting and leading a team.
* Has excellent communication, organisation and problem-solving skills.
* Is reliable, professional and committed to providing high-quality care and education.
* Can work well with families and colleagues to support positive outcomes for children.
