We're looking for a hands-on Warehouse Supervisor to join a growing and successful business in St Ives. Working closely with the Warehouse & Logistics Manager, you'll play a key role in overseeing daily warehouse operations, supporting team performance and driving operational excellence across goods-in, picking, packing and dispatch functions.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with supervisory experience who enjoys motivating teams, solving problems and making a real impact on warehouse performance.
Key responsibilities include:
Leading and supporting warehouse teams across goods-in, picking, packing and dispatch
Allocating workloads and monitoring team performance
Coaching, training and developing warehouse operatives
Ensuring incoming goods are received, checked and stored correctly
Overseeing accurate order picking and packing processes
Supporting inventory control, stock accuracy and stock takes
Monitoring quality standards and investigating discrepancies
Maintaining a safe working environment and promoting best practice
Identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and productivity
Reporting on operational performance and KPIs
About You
To be successful in this role, you'll ideally have:
Previous warehouse supervisory or team leader experience
Strong knowledge of warehouse operations including goods-in, picking, packing and dispatch
Excellent leadership and people management skills
Strong organisational and prioritisation abilities
A proactive, hands-on approach to problem solving
Good IT skills and experience using warehouse systems
Excellent communication skills
A commitment to health and safety standards
The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environmentDesirable qualifications include:
Counterbalance Forklift Licence
Warehouse Operations qualification
Health & Safety qualification
First Aid certification
