The Role:

We are looking for motivated and proactive Restart Employment Advisors to support people with multiple barriers back into work. In this role you will manage your own caseload, building strong relationships with customers to understand their individual challenges, strengths and goals. You’ll provide tailored advice, guidance and practical support to help them prepare for, find and sustain employment. This will include identifying skills gaps, sourcing training or work placements, and linking customers with local services or employers. You’ll play a key part in helping people move forward, develop confidence and achieve long-term change.
Duties:

Manage all contact with your caseload, meeting customers face-to-face in the centre.
Carry out detailed assessments at the first meeting to understand barriers, experience, skills and learning needs.
Refer customers to training, workshops, or mentoring to help overcome challenges and develop employability.
Provide regular coaching, advice and encouragement to maintain motivation and engagement.
Build strong links with local employers and partners to create opportunities for customers.
Set SMART goals for each customer and review these regularly to track progress towards work.
Keep accurate records and ensure all activity is completed in line with programme requirements.Required Skills:

Strong experience working with unemployed people, managing a caseload and achieving job entry targets.
Background in supporting customers with complex barriers and completing in-depth assessments.
Proven ability to set and monitor SMART targets, with a results-focused approach.
Empathy, resilience, and a genuine desire to help people succeed.Due to the nature of this role, you will be required to complete an online Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
