TeacherActive is proud to be working with a specialist school in Stockport that supports pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. The school is looking for a dedicated and resilient SEMH Teacher to join their team on a long-term basis.

The role:

As an SEMH Teacher, you will:

Plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to individual learning needs
Build positive and trusting relationships with pupils
Support students with a range of social, emotional, and behavioural needs
Create a safe and inclusive classroom environment
Work closely with support staff, parents, and external professionals
Monitor progress and adapt teaching strategies to support pupil development

The successful candidate will have:

QTS or an equivalent teaching qualification
Experience working with SEMH pupils, SEND settings, or challenging behaviour
Strong behaviour management skills
A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach
A commitment to helping pupils achieve both academically and personally
