PPA is seeking to appoint three non-executive members to its Board, with a closing date for applications of 12 noon on Friday 4th September.
The management, maintenance and strategic development of the Port of Peterhead are the responsibility of Peterhead Port Authority (PPA), an independent Trust Port Board consisting of ten non-executives and one executive member.
The appointment of the three non-executives will commence on 1st January 2027, is for three years initially with the possibility of reappointment and is part-time, typically 1–2 days per month. The position is remunerated and travelling expenses may be reimbursed.

* The achievement of successful results in demanding situations, This can be in a career or unpaid (voluntary) work.
* An ability to contribute effectively in group discussions which may include specialist and professional participants.
* Maintaining and articulating independence of position in group situations and accepting democratic outcomes.
To complement the existing range of expertise and maintain the appropriate balance of competencies and skills on the Board, applicants should preferably have special knowledge, experience or ability in one or more of the following areas:
Seafood Sector
* White fish / pelagic catching sector, seafood processing, seafood buying, post-sale seafood logistics;
Energy Sector
* Offshore wind energy, decommissioning, offshore construction
Port Operations
* Master mariner / finance / legal / HSEQ / Port operations / Port master planning / Infrastructure planning
