I am recruiting on behalf of my client, a highly respected engineering and manufacturing business, for an experienced Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Coordinator to join their team on a long-term contract basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for an EHS professional looking for flexibility while supporting a busy operation with a wide range of environmental, health and safety activities.
The successful Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Coordinator will play a key role in maintaining compliance with environmental, health and safety legislation, supporting operational teams, and helping to promote a positive safety culture throughout the business. This position is not solely focused on document control and manual updates; the Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Coordinator will also be involved in a variety of day-to-day EHS activities across the site.
As the Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Coordinator, your responsibilities will include:
Implementing and maintaining company environmental, health and safety policies and procedures
Ensuring compliance with local, state and federal environmental, health and safety regulations
Monitoring legislative changes and advising the business on compliance requirements
Preparing, maintaining and updating EHS policies, procedures and associated documentation
Acting as a key point of contact for regulatory bodies and external agencies
Supporting the design and development of facilities, work areas and working practices from an EHS perspective
Conducting general EHS activities and providing practical support across the business
Assisting with risk reduction initiatives and promoting a proactive safety culture
Supporting environmental, health and safety projects as requiredTo be considered for this Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Coordinator position, you should have:
Previous experience within an Environmental, Health & Safety role
A good understanding of environmental, health and safety legislation and compliance requirements
Strong communication and organisational skills
The ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively
Experience liaising with regulatory bodies and external stakeholders
Relevant qualifications within Environmental, Health & Safety or a related discipline would be advantageous
Experience within manufacturing, engineering or a similar industrial environment would be beneficialIn return, my client is offering:
£15.17 per hour
21 hours per week
Preference for 3 x 7-hour days, although alternative working patterns may be considered where practical
No preferred working days, offering flexibility around your schedule
Long-term contract running through to December 2026
