Workforce Personnel are currently recruiting experienced and compassionate Care Assistants / Care Workers to support a variety of residential and nursing homes across Bedfordshire and Central Bedfordshire.

This is a rewarding opportunity to provide high-quality care and support to individuals with a wide range of needs, including elderly care, mental health, and learning disabilities. You’ll play a vital role in improving residents’ quality of life through personal care, companionship, and emotional support.

Key Responsibilities

* As a Care Assistant / Care Worker, your duties may include:

* Assisting residents with personal care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support

* Supporting with medication administration/management in line with care plans and policies

* Helping with meal preparation, feeding, and hydration

* Providing companionship, emotional support, and reassurance

* Monitoring and reporting any changes in health, wellbeing, or behaviour

* Maintaining accurate and up-to-date care records

* Ensuring a clean, safe, and supportive environment for residents

* Encouraging residents to take part in social, recreational, and daily living activities

* Working collaboratively with nurses, senior carers, and home staff to deliver person-centred care

Requirements

* To be considered for this role, you must have:

* 6–12 months’ UK care experience (essential)

* A genuine passion for supporting vulnerable individuals

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

* The ability to work independently and as part of a team

* Strong written and spoken English and the ability to follow care instructions

* Flexibility to work a range of shifts including days, nights, weekends, earlies, and lates

* An Enhanced DBS on the update service, or willingness to obtain one

* Willingness to complete face-to-face mandatory training

* The ability to provide satisfactory references
